LowE Xtreme is the "Top of the rank" option from Metro Performance Glass. The IGUs include a thermal spacer and the choice of either Argon or Krypton gas infill.

This will be the glass of choice for the coldest climate areas in NZ or for properties aiming for a high performance environmental rating such as Homestar 8 star or above.

Low E glass can help reduce heat loss in winter by reflecting the heat back into your home or building (it must be shaded from Summer sun to prevent excessing heat gain during the hotter months)

LowE Xtreme can help deliver R-values between 25% and 40% better than standard low e glazing thanks to the automatic inclusion of argon gas and a thermal spacer and the optional selection of Krypton gas.

This will be the preferred type of glass unit suitable for projects aiming for 8 star Homestar ratings and 6 Star Green Star NZ ratings, especially when situated inside a thermally broken widow frame.
